Spaghetti bolognese and wine with Hadley.
H: “Basically what I do is put two packs of mince, two tins of tomatoes, two onions, three or four cloves of garlics, mushrooms, a red pepper, oregano and basil in
a pot. You can either put in a glass of wine or a vegetable stock cube. Little bit of tomato puree and some extra water. If you want to go crazy, put some sun-dried tomatoes, capers, and chilli flakes in there. It’s literally the easiest thing I’ve ever cooked. Maybe not, but it’s so good.”
E: “Are we having spaghetti with it?”
H: “Oh yeah, and spaghetti.”
My review: There’s nothing in the world like coming home to your best friend, wine in the fridge, and bolognese on the stove. Though I was nearly drunk before she had even served up, you can’t beat a classic, especially with sun-dried tomatoes going in.
